Lambton Cattlemen BBQ Fundraiser Helps United WayLambton Cattlemen BBQ Fundraiser Helps United Way
Wyoming, ON - The Lambton Cattlemen's Association hosted a beef BBQ at Lambton County's Administration Building this spring and they returned to Wyoming this week to present a cheque for $305 to the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton.
"Hosting BBQs allows us to promote the beef industry and the quality of beef cattle in Ontario, but more importantly, this BBQ provided an opportunity for us to help our community by donating the proceeds to the United Way," said Tim Fugard, President of the Lambton Cattlemen's Association.
The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton funds over 65 programs through 28 funded agencies related to: poverty and working poor families, medical programs and services, seniors' programs, rural programs, youth with physical, mental or social challenges.
"The United Way is grateful for this donation and we look forward to continuing our fundraising work with both the Lambton Cattlemen and The Corporation of the County of Lambton," said Dave Brown, Executive Director, United Way.
