United Way "3 on 3 Dunk-It Basketball Tournament"

----The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton is pleased to announce plans for the 5th annual 3 on 3 Dunk-It Basketball Tournament to be held June 26th and 27th in the parking lot of Hiawatha Horsepark. The United Way is thrilled to have NCO group (formerly RMH Teleservices) as the first-ever tournament Title Sponsor.
Registration for the 3 on 3 Dunk-It Basketball Tournament opened May 1st. Past participants will receive a registration form in the mail. Participants can also register on the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton website (www.theunitedway.on.ca). Registration forms can also be picked up from the United Way office, NCO, all schools, Radio Sarnia-Lambton, and Hiawatha Horsepark. The deadline to register is June 10, 2004.
Tournament organizer Angela Briden expects this to be the most successful year ever for the event, "The 3 on 3 Dunk-It Basketball Tournament has never had a title sponsor before. With NCO taking on this role, this guarantees the event more exposure and we hope to see that reflected in the number of participants." Briden says an event of this magnitude is also an economic benefit to the community, with over 600 participants and 1500 spectators expected during the course of the weekend.
Since its inception in 2000, the 3 on 3 Dunk-It Basketball Tournament has raised over $10,000 for the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton. All of the proceeds benefit the United Way's 28 member agencies.
