United Way of Sarnia-Lambton Announces
2005 Campaign Chair
The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton's Board of Directors has nominated its 2005 Campaign Chair. Martin Vrolyk, currently the sales manager at The Brick in Sarnia, has been chosen to fill the role.
United Way of Sarnia-Lambton Executive Director, Dave Brown says the choice was an easy one, "Martin has been a friend of the United Way for many years and we are extremely excited to have him on board for the 2005 campaign. We know this will not be an easy year, but we are confident that with Martin's guidance, we can achieve our goals." The United Way will announce its 2005 campaign goal in August.
Vrolyk, a Sarnia resident, says he is honoured to be selected as Campaign Chair, "I know this is an awesome responsibility and I am quite eager to take it on. The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton has been part of this community for nearly 50 years, and I am proud to volunteer for an organization that's as well respected as the United Way."
Although the campaign doesn't officially kick off until September, Brown says the campaign chair's duties begin immediately, "Martin will be assisting United Way staff with campaign planning by attending visits with local CEO's and participating in the United Way's direct mail campaign. There is a lot of behind the scenes' work currently going on as far as planning for the 2005 campaign, especially when it comes to securing new workplace campaigns. Through his extensive contacts in the business community, Martin will definitely play a significant role in that."
